About Me
I have been a Certified Fitness
Trainer for 7yrs. I am Boot Camp and group certified Fitness Instructor,
Zumba Instructor, Nursing major, train in body building, and integrate in
my training, functional (myofascial), and posture corrective exercises. I
have participated in 5k and 10k, marathons. My athletic history involves
cheerleading, softball, basketball, running, and outdoor activities.
I do have limitations, as we all do,
they may slow me down, but not stop me from achieving my goals. Due to
past injuries, (which I will elaborate on) I continue to educate myself on
what I can do to help improve my overall health and fitness level.
As for some of my challenges, in 2001
was involved in a motor vehicle accident, which left me with a C1,C2
facture to my cervical spine, 6 injured disk, two fractures to my pelvis,
and many other injuries. The broken neck and pelvis was the hardest to
overcome. I had limited range of motion in my neck, migraines, many
restless nights, as I found it hard to comfort my neck. My fracture is
right below my brain stem and I am blessed it didn’t break all the way, as
I would not have survived. My pelvis fracture was to my sacrum and pubis
ramus. One hurt when I sat, the other when I walked. It took me a good
3years to completely heal, although 10years later, I still live with pain
and daily have to treat my neck.
Starting over was hard, due to my
weight lifting restrictions, I lost all muscle tone and had to start
fresh. This was very discouraging to me, since I previously had reached my
fitness goals after giving birth to three wonderful children!
In conclusion, If I could do any of
this over, I wouldn’t change a thing! These challenges have made me
stronger and I can reach others that some trainers cannot. It has allowed
me to be the trainer that I am and there is no better. If I can do it, so
can you! Let me help You! I specialize in goal setting, proper nutrition,
fitness and body fat . I have trained and helped youth, elderly,
overweight, underweight, fit, unfit, injured and helped to prevent
injuries.
The time is now, and unfortunately,
it does not come back! A new year is approaching, your health and
wellbeing is worth it!!
Quotes I enjoy….
Those who think they have not time for bodily exercise will sooner or
later have to find time for illness.

We do not stop exercising because we grow old - we grow old because we
stop exercising.
Dr. Kenneth Cooper, Cooper Institute.
